Discover how to move through the holiday season in a way that feels enjoyable from the inside out.
While the holiday season is meant to be a joyful time celebrating with loved ones, it can also be a season that magnifies and intensifies our difficulties. The holidays can be tough to move through for several reasons depending on the blend of our individual experiences or current experiences and past traumas or old wounds.
The need for a trauma-sensitive approach to the holidays is crucial as this “most wonderful time of the year” often brings up a variety of triggers including the pressure to conform to familial expectations, increased presence of alcohol or food-related experiences, more social interactions, and a possible reminder of what doesn’t exist (money, loss of loved one, employment, etc.). An overly competitive nature or the pressure to perform a certain way can sink in through the forms of gift giving and buying, party hosting, status recognition, friend or familial comparison, dinner table conversations, and more.
During this 7-week journey you will be equipped with the tools, practices, and embodied empowerment that will not only support you during this holiday season, but every season of life moving forward.
Areas we will cover ...

Together, we will move through 6 different sections over the course of our 7 weeks together starting on Friday, November 19th. The first section will include video content and a workbook to begin uncovering your holiday-induced triggers or stressors, while mapping out how to set yourself up for success this season. We will cover ways to be present and move with awareness over the Thanksgiving holiday, which will pave the way for our next few weeks together.
Our first group coaching call will take place on Wednesday, December 1st (week after Thanksgiving) and will be a combination of 30-40 minutes of instructional content, followed by an open Q&A and coaching. The remainder of our group coaching calls will follow this same format and will be uploaded to the Teachable portal after every session. Each call will include a separate workbook for integration work specific to that week’s content for a total of 6 workbooks. After Wednesday, December 15th, we will take a pause for Christmas and New Years and will pick back up on Wednesday, January 5th for our final call together.
All participants are encouraged to make use of our Voxer group chat for additional coaching support throughout the duration of the program. I’ve personally found Voxer group chats to be extremely impactful for on the spot advice or coaching, as well as a safe space to vent with other individuals experiencing similar circumstances.
In order to make this program as beneficial as possible for those participating, all that are interested are encouraged to fill out the program application for a chance to be selected into Modern Holidays. Selected participants will be notified on Wednesday, November 17th.
